Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Renee Boots to our OC Family as our Interim Principal for Owen County High School for the 2023-2024 school year. Mrs. Boots is a life-long educator with 35 years of experience. She spent her entire teaching career as a high school foreign language teacher before taking on roles as an assistant principal, principal, and district administration. Mrs. Boots retired from Montgomery County Schools as Assistant Superintendent in 2020. Most recently, she has been working at the Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative mentoring new principals.
After meeting with the OCHS SBDM Council, we have established a tentative timeline to name the permanent principal by January 1, 2024, with a start date of July 1, 2024. We would like to thank Mrs. Boots for her commitment to our students, staff, and community during this interim period.
